Microsoft Technology Centre
A multifaceted flagship fit-out
A fit-out for the International and well recognised tech company, Microsoft. Comprising of a client front of house space, a customer Technology Centre, and temporary touchdown spaces for staff.
The brief was to provide unique experiences in each space that reflected their use, while allowing them to still feel as part of a unified overall design approach. The Sydney locale was key, with the client requesting a site specific response to allow visitors to recognise and appreciate the site location within the global Microsoft family.
References to the Australian strong and varied natural colour palette were explored through layering of materials across the spaces. This idea was further developed through undulating and strong shapes transcending through the fit-out.
Local artists were engaged to create unique design elements throughout the space, embracing and celebrating the design culture within Australia. Located above the historical and well recognised Martin Place GPO, traditional details found in the building were references throughout the space to allow for depth and discovery, granting the temporary user a new experience in the space with each visit.
